Volunteers Make the Difference

Our agency relies on volunteers in many ways, crisis line shifts, childcare or cleaning. Once volunteer training is completed, volunteers sign up for crisis line shifts that fit their schedule.
Childcare during support group is a two hour commitment once a week. Time for volunteers for cleaning can be decided by the volunteer and Volunteer Coordinator.

Give the gift of your time in the coming year, please call 337-5623 for more information on becoming a volunteer.

Bring a Bag Fund at the Keweenaw Food Co-op, Inc.

Every time you bring your own bag, box or other container for your purchases and the Co-op does not have to pay for a paper or plastic bag, they will donate to a fund which supports a non-profit in our community. We were pleased to be chosen by the Co-op Board to be the recipient of funds collected from October 22, 2011 to April 22, 2012.

So next time you head to the Co-op, be sure to bring your own bag and help support our agency.  Thanks!
